is it snot possible for burn a whole load of atrac files to a dvd-r? rather than a cd-r?

when i put a blak dvd into the drive, sonicstage says it only has 400mb free space, when it actually has over 4GB

anyone know why this is?

i need to transfer lots of my files to another computer, but my collection is now in lossless + 352kbps

i dont have teh space on the other computer for the losless versions, so i want to just transfer the atrac 352 versions.

You can burn a data DVD with ATRAC files. If the files aren't DRMed then Media Player will play them, although it won't read any information other than the file name. SS will also play them, of course, but not until they've been imported.

Use the sonicstage backup tool and then use what you would normaly to the dvd-r.

That way you don't have to worry about looseing your files to DRM.

thanks.....does this tool JUST backup the 352kbps part, or the whole lossless file?? if its the whole thing, i can just copy them, using nero......but if it just backs up the 352 version, this is what im looking for!

is it supposed to run that slow though??? i elft it going for an hour and it was still "calculating the required disc space"
