s-Tv
I own a Sony NW-HD5 and rescently i updated to SonicStage 4.0.After updating, my library was empty and when i tried to import a folder, i always get the same error message: "Cannot find files that are not registered to Sonic Stage. Error code 00007180". The files play perfect on other programs like iTunes or windows Media Player.I own about 2000 mp3 tracks (and payd for it, believe it or not)I just initialised the HD of my NW-HD5 so now i cannot listen to the tracks i paid for...Can anyone help me with this problem? navsimpson
Hi,When you upgraded to SS 4.0, did you do a 'full uninstall' i.e. delete directories manually, delete registry keys? If not, go here and follow the instructions. It sounds like SS somehow thinks those tracks are already in your database while they aren't showing up. Sorry if this isn't of much help.Nav
Ishiyoshi
Where are those music files located? Is it within the default folder of SonicStage "My Library" or elsewhere? If it’s the former, you may want to consider importing "new" music (e.g. wav or Mp3) into SonicStage from another folder. If you just attempt to drop those new music into the default folder and attempt to import, that error message: "Cannot find files that are not registered to Sonic Stage. Error code 00007180" will appear.
s-Tv
Thanks,Apparently it whas a combination of both. I uninstalled all SS and omg software, deleted all reg keys in the SS folder, moved all mp3's to a new folder and deleted the old one. reinstalled SS4.0 and imported all my old music. Problem solved. Strange however that SS imported all files twice. It listed all files in the old folder i deleted before...
