PSP shows "Corrupted" video files

I don' t understand why PSP shows "Corrupted" ,when ever i try to play video files ,which i have converted using Image converter 2

Procedure employed:

First I have converted VCD to .mpg(using Vcd cutter 4.04 or to mpeg1(using X Video Converter,then i have converted these files to AVC 768 "16:9").

Note :I 'm able to play these video files in PC.

Please Help !!!!

Till now I have spend around 15hours to figure out the problem myself ,but i'm unable to do that .

My Psp is using Fimware ver2.81(European one )

I have already tried PSP video 9 .

Right now i'm converting one of the VCD to AVC using "Xilisoft Soft PSP converter"

I'm useing that firmware and never had a problem with the image converter software. ???

Try useing mp4 codec there. I think the problem might lie in the source file?

Do you have the VCD on dvd, you can rip it to psp usein dvd decripter and pspvideo9. (as probably will know). link

Sony has replaced the memory stick with a new one (As it was under warrenty )& now i'm able to see movies on my PSP .It seems that there was some problem with that one .Thanks for all the help .
