SonicStage 4.2 Requires Format of Attached Device

This is really annoying. Not only did I manage to lose a Playlist (blank), now I can't copy the songs back from the device. v4.2 forces you to reformat the device, why on earth is this? Why don't they warn you ahead of time?

This has been a recurring problem with this device since day one, I use store purchased CD to create my Library and I still have all sorts of issue moving the songs back and forth.

Software complains that it's not the original computer, yet it is? What's up with that?

Ever since Sonicstage 4.0, the software has never asked me to re-initialize after setup of the new version. I think it is because you installed the wrong country's version...

Country was correct. At least based on the webpage that the latest version was downloaded.

Was v4.2 actually worth the install? Did it fix anything?

I guess this beg's the question, should I use something besides SonicStage?
