martynb
When I attach my A3000 and start automatic transfer, sonicstage does not recognise which tracks are already on the player and automatically deselect albums for transfer. How can I make it do this? It's a pain manually trying to cross check player and sonicstage to see what is already transferred.Advice appreciated.Martyn.
iroczvinnie
Hi As a current user of ss4.3 I confirm that this happens. It seems to me that ss doesn't sycronise between the "library" and "atrac device" - in my case NW HD3 -rather it treats each one as mutually exclusive. Is this consistant with other people's experiences that ss doesn't syncronise the library and the atrac device such that when you make a change in the library it updates the atrac device? For example, if I move a track between two albums ( or rename track details etc) it doesn't update the atrac device i.e. syncronise the library and the atrac device.I've also noticed that if you add a track to an album in the "library" and the album has previously been transferred to the atrac device, the transfer creates a new album on the atrac device, rather than adding the track to the existing album.I would be interested to hear other's thoughts on this
Debbie
This was my biggest gripe when I switched to SS4.2 from Connect. In Connect, any amendments I made to the library would be changed on my A3000 too. In addition, I could delete tracks from my library and they would be deleted from my A3000. Now the work has to be duplicated. However, if I add new tracks to the library, they are automatically transferred when I next connect the A3000 (I've set this in the options somewhere). But if my A3000 is connected at the time, I have to select the imported tracks and transfer them myself.I've not noticed the problem with adding tracks to an album that's already there though. Are you sure there's not an extra space at the end of one of the album titles so that SS thinks it's a different name? I've done that myself with artists - seen the same artist twice and realised I've put a space at the end of one of them!
iroczvinnie
SS is an interesting piece of software.I have an song in the SSlibrary that is transferred to my HD3 every time I use the transfer button and therefore have to manually delete it from my HD3. I have obviously learnt now to unselect the particular album when transferring.Does anyone know why this is happening or know how to fix it? Have I selected something on that particular song that is causing SS to want to transfer it multiple times and never register that it has been transferred? This is an option that can be deselected. Additionally, when transferring songs all songs will be transferred. You have to explicitly transfer the songs you want to. otherwise every song will be transferred. Also, please check you automatic transfer setting (the big red button with AUTO on it). Ensure that no songs or albums are included in this list. Especially, the song that is transferred to your HD3 every time you use the transfer button.Let us know if this helps.
