Sonicstage

hey... i have a nw-hd5 and i used another pc and downloaded a version of sonicstage... i forgot what region it was.. it was either US or asia pacific... i came back to this pc and i downloaded the latest sonicstage version for US and asia pacific and in both it asks me to initialize the player... how can i get around this thing??

Hey,In order to transfer music from the new PC or from diffrent pc you will have to format your HD5 again .

I have trasnferred songs to hd5 from different computers, you need not have format it. I never had that problem.

There is no way to get around that. Welcome to the world of Sony/Sonicstage. Most of users reported this problem with US version of Sonicstage (mainly because of the DRM of connect). Some users reported the Asia Pacific version won't forve you to initialize the player. Uninstall your version of Sonicstage and download the Asia Pacific version of one of the links in this forum.

hey dude... i already connected my player the US version of sonicstage.. so i dunno if the DRM is already affecting the player.. and now i'm using the asia pacific version of it .. do you think installing a earlier version of it would help overcome the problem?? well i have to format the player anyways becasue its been a long time... but if i install the latest version of the asia pacific edition in my computer here and do the same in another pc will i have to go through the problem again?

If the Asia Pacific version doesn't ask for initialization, then you should be fine. I'm not sure though, since this problem is not an issue with HiMD nor older network walkmen that I used to use.
