RobA
I'm still using SS3.1 and want to upgrade to 4.2, but I was reading through the forum to see that some HD5 users are greeted with a message to delete all their songs after upgrading. Does this problem still exist? Is it safe to upgrade?
Guest Stuge
Before upgrading to SS 4.2 first back-up your music data using Sonic Stage back up tool.
kerfuffle
Agree with Stuge's post above. And I've read here that if you download the Asia-Pacific version of SonicStage, you don't have to initialise your Walkman. But if you want Connect music store, I think you have to download some add-on somewhere, 'cause the Asia-Pacific version doesn't have Connect music store. RobA
One more question. If I was to install the AP version of SS4.2 on another computer, would I be able to download/upload songs to the HD5 from that computer as well since it's the AP version? kerfuffle
You'd be able to transfer songs from the 2nd computer to the HD5, but you can't transfer them back to the Library in your 1st computer.
