yoshikun
i have SS 4.2 Japanese version...hiragana, katakana, and kanji all show up, but when i transfer songs to my NW-S205F, only the hiragana and katakana are readable. Anybody know if there's a way to get the kanji to be readable on the player?
0 Zizone_
I am using Japanese SS 4.2 for NW-S203F and NW-S706F, and I don't have problem seeing kanji on my player. Are you using Japanese Windows? Edited January 20, 2007 by Zizone

0 Zizone_
I don't think its a player issue. I think all NW-S20X series, regardless of version, are capable in displaying kanji. I think it's a windows issue... Seek advise from Ishiyoshi (site admin). I believe he has an answer to your question.
0 Ishiyoshi
using English Windows, NW-S05F US versionSince you are operating in an English Windows environment, you will need to run SonicStage CP 4.2 (Japanese version) via Microsoft AppLocale. In addition, ensure your system has East Asian language files installed. Review this guide for further information.
0 metal
How about if I'm running on a Chinese version of WinXP and want to display Japanese characters, in addition to English/Chinese characters. Is this guide still valid?

0 OCedHrt
I believe the guide in question is still valid for your case. Please do report back with your results.I'm running English Windows, but I have both Japanese and Chinese displayed on my player. The trick is to use AppLoc and run SS in Japanese mode while you transfer Japanese files and in Chinese mode while you transfer Chinese files.
