Sony NW-HD3

Question

I have been using a Sony NW-HD3 MP3 Player for the last year.

It is 20GB, and I am quite happy with it, apart from one thing:

The volume, or lack of it. When on full volume, my MP3 player is not loud at all, and being a fan of quite heavy music I find this disappointing.

I have heard from friends with iPods that you can simply turn up the volume on songs in iTunes, but I don't think this is the case with mine, or is it?

If you can help me, please do.

Patrick.

If it's a Europian model, you can use the hack to remove the volume cap, instructions can be foun d elsewhere on this site, on the HD3 service manual (under downloads).

Further check if AVLS isn't set to "on".

A last tip: some headphones are more sensitve then others, meaning they make more noise with the same juice, so another phone might give you the volume you need.
