Question

When i insert an album with playlist sometimes the picture appears and sometimes not. eg i insert the "The Matrix" album from the cd, i made a playlist i put the cd cover and when i transfered it to the mp3 player the pictures wont appear. When i search in the "omgaudio" folder the picture exist there. Does pics must be certain pixels or something?

I have the same problem. I get any missing album art from the internet (and manually add it) so if it doesn't transfer, I 'change' the album art (i.e. add the same pic from a different source). Sometime this works and annoying sometimes it doesn't. TBH I'm not sure its do with oixels or size... maybe some else does....

have you enabled the compilation setting tickbox in the album properties, in sonicstage.

it is to the right of the next track button of the music player , right click and select cover art settings.

then recopy the album to your flash player.

I had the same problem, but my 706 came with an additional instructions specific to this problem that is not covered in the user manual.

Yes so it says:

To display jacket pictures ....

1 ...

2 UNCHECK the compilation check box (does this mean to select all mp3s right click properties and uncheck "track in the compilation albums"? If this is it i have done it and it doesnt work. I havent seen any option says "compilation".

have a look at the picture, you have to right click on the large album picture to the right of the next track button.

just search the internet for an album, and right click the image and save it to an directory in jpeg fromat.

if you have an look at my last picture, in the bottom left have corner of the album properties is an ADD image button.

just click it and upload your own pictures, it will be automaticaly resized.

try it out.

Add it manually to all. Still think its a bug. If you look at my previous picture you will see tha instead of one "The Matrix" Album it shows each track at different album (because of the different artists?). I only cant display playlist/album pictures that have different artists inside. Check it to see

I had a similar problem, i added an album with twenty track, but the software insisted on creating a sepatate album for one of the tracks.

I had to rename the 1 track album to match the 19 track album and then the software merges the two together.

You might have to renumber the track, as the software gets the track number wrong.

just make sure the album and the artist are the same in album view.

It takes a bit of fiddling about but you can get it to work.

I have only had my 706 a couple of weeks to this is a bit new to me as well.

you can also just drag and drop. Drag the album art that appears when you click search for jacket/album art on internet and drag that picture to your album. Then all the songs within that album will have pictures. When you drag to that album, there will be a message saying something like "do you want to implement the pictures to all the songs" (the quote is not exact words you will get since I use Japanese SonicStage I don't really know what it will say in US version).
