Hissing Sound

Hey guys, i have notice a loud and disturbing hissing sound in the background of my player, which is hd5, and another Sony player, the bean thingy. Anyone else notice it or its just my players? HD5 is a really good player and the sound quality is top-notch, but the hissing sound ruin it all! I'm thinking to buy the new 8gb a800 or something but i won't if the hissing problem exist in all sony players as a drawback for the good sound quality.

May I suspect that you have just recently noticed this hissing. What type of headphones are you using? What tracks do you hear the hissing on? Are these copies from CD, etc?

nah i heard the hissing sound from the day i bought the players, some of the tracks are from cds and some are downloaded, i tested them all and all of them ave a hissing sound in the background, and when i tested them on my laptop there is no hissing sound on the background
