Question

im interested in a new 80X series walkman, but i cannot have the walkman AND my S706, it would be a waste.

so the questions is:

is it worth selling my 706 and getting a 80x series?

how much do the 706 go for? has any one sold one on ebay? is there a market?

if the answer is no to any of the above, then i am happy to keep the 706 for now.

I have both models, and find that they have different uses. Some uses are better for the NW-S706, while others for the NW-S800 series models.

The important thing is to seriously think about what you want to use the Walkman for. By selling the NW-S706 you will be giving up noise cancellation, and the FM radio. Are those features important to you? I find the NW-S706 earies to operate with one hand, and that it does not require my full attention.

Is there a market for someone who uses eBay and views the NW-S706 to expensive? Yes. Even at the best condition, I would not expect anyone to pay more than half the original price. You may get more.

However, If you can get a price that satisfies you for the NW-S706, then get a NW-A800 series model.

thanks for the reply!

i dont use the noise cancelling as i use eytemonics i6 headphones anyway, and i dont use the radio.

just one thought, does the 80x series record, like the s706? i have the recording cabke, but does it work the same on the 80x series?

The recording with the cable is one feature that I forgot about. The NW-A800 series does not support this feature.
