Question

Apparently, I need to find a way to convert some movies for my X1000, I tried all methods possible, the only one work is the Windows Media Encoder, but even that is out of sync. Also, the Media Encoder does not take MP4 as an input. Is there any programs out there that can do the trick?

Well a good one that I use all the time is "Xilisoft Video Converter Platinium.

Works like a treat and has a whole range of video conversions, even for PSP, PS3, 360....etc

(Though its not free)

And I don't know any free ones, sorry ^^;

I don't mind paying a little, but I just want to be sure that it can 100% do the job.

Can anyone confirm that it works?

Thanks!

Yes it works..............use 768kbps MP4 for video and 128 MP3 for audio. The default ipod format will also suit the earlier Video Walkmans. However the screen on the Touch has a different aspect ratio so you may need to create those settings yourself. I don't have a Touch yet so I can't comment fully until I try it out for myself.

Thanks, I have tried it and it really is quite awesome. However, I cannot get it to play at full 432x240 as in the demo videos. I have tried all wmv formats, the max it can take is 320x240.

That feature may be available in the "Fully Activated" version. Check the online documentation
