how to do a batch bit rate convert

i appreciate and advice on a program that will let me convert lots of folders containing mp3s.

i have about 60 albums in mp3 that have a bitrate of about 190 but i can only get about 35 albums on my sony NW A806 4gb mp3 player . i want to convert all to 128 preferably by a batch conversion of folders then i can transfer them back to my mp3 player ,

anyone recommend some software for the job

Sony's Disc to phone software should do what you want. I use it to make albums smaller to put on my mums mp3 player (iriver) 320kbs to 128kbs

that seems to just do one album at a time and dont think it wil work on my nwa806 looking for something to do a batch folders convert but thanks for your time

one installed a windows explorer context menu link will pop up "batch convert folder".

Perfect, eh?
