beatjunky33
So my NW-HD1 is starting to show signs of an eventual death. Since Sony stopped making them and they're becoming harder and harder to buy, I've decided to cross over like the other sheep to getting an iPod. But how the heck do I convert and transfer all my music on to iTunes??? Can't seem to find instructions or help through Sony, and I'm really not that familiar with iTunes. Please God, tell me that I can convert all these files!!!! I tried searching through these forums for a similar thread but didn't see one. Any help would lift a great load off my shoulders. Thank you. Edited August 8, 2007 by beatjunky33
Borat
You can convert all your ATRAC files in Sonicstage to other formats (MP3,Wav,FLAC etc) using Hi-MD rendererer, which can be downloaded at MDCF here. You need to register there first. It's a great program by the way, and the batch mode for a large collection works a treat.

juli_
I've decided to cross over like the other sheep to getting an iPod. Well, I think we should all partake in a 2-minute silence to mark this solemn occasion. Anyway, you might not like the iPod sound after a Sony
beatjunky33
sorry....i gotta have 20gb. and yes, i can't say i'm happy about switching to an ipod. i'm a HUGE sony fan, but let's face it: they really bungled on marketing their players, and sonic stage blows. I can't believe that after all these years, all we have for conversions is a buggy giveaway program with a nasty GUI that doesn't even deal in metadata and crashes with large bitrates.
