number54321
I just bought my NW-A808 recently and halfway through tranferring video files, the screen froze and I had to shut down the laptop by force. Then when I restarted everything, There appeared an error MP4 video file that looked part-loaded that took up 1.49MB of memory space but shows nothing. A message shows 'The file is damaged. Please connect to complaint software or device and transfer again.' And the worst part is, it doesnt appear on the walkman launcher on my computer, so I cant delete the bad file from there, and cant delete it straight from the MP3 player either! So I'm stuck with it! Please advise on how I can remove the bad file. Thanks
riceb0i87
Did you use Image Converter? If you did, open Image Converter and I believe you should be able to delete it off the player. If you can't, go into the WALKMAN (whatever drive letter) in My Computer, go into the folder MP_ROOT, and then into the folder 100ANV01, and delete the file from there. Please reply back if this works or not.

riceb0i87
There are maybe two places this video file might be in.Go to My Computer > Go into your mp3 player > from here the video might be in...1) a folder called MP_ROOT > 100ANV01 (or something along those lines) (This folder is where all the converted video files you make in Image Converter go in)2) a folder called VIDEO (this is where you can drag and drop compatible videos in) Edited August 21, 2007 by riceb0i87
