Song Ratings and Play History for NWZ-810?

Probably due to the removal of SonicStage, i notice that the 810s are missing some features that were on the NW-800. Most important to me is the ability to rate songs on the player, view play history and mark songs for deletion. Is this functionality likely to be added so data synchronisation can take place with WMP or similar media centre?

Unlikely to be added as features were linked to sonic stage and wont work with other software

Would be good if ratings could be linked to WMP but i dont see it happening

According to this http://www.misticriver.net/showthread.php?t=45418 iriver players sync data with WMP 11. It appears to be part of the MTP specification.

It´s the first time I have heard about the lack of these functions and I don´t like it. Things like ratings come in handy when creating smart playlists and such. No ratings, and no on device playlisting. Is it an omission on Sony´s part or a deficiency of wmp?

EDIT: kwangomango, so it´s sony again. This time either with a rush job in firmware or an "incentive" for media manager software.

I'm getting more and more the feeling that I'm lucky to have bought an 808 just before the 818 came out....

I don't use song rating, but playlists are necessary. Don't care if you can't make them on the fly, as long as I can use WMP for this and not only Sony MM!

Drag&Drop is what made me opt for nwz... IF I can buy one, at least (STILL unavailable in italy)

You can use auto playlists from WMP

But not sure how to copy the playlists as it just copies the songs you might have to drag n drop the playlist

maybe just copying the playlist file? did you try?
