Just done a very silly thing with my beloved HD5. Instead of charging via usb I thought i'd charge via the wall socket. But instead of getting out the correct charger ( which of course plugs into the round charging socket on the machine) I unthinkingly took my mobile phone charger ( which is a "wall plug" with a usb plug on the other end) and without thinking plugged it into the usb socket of my hd5 and went out for a couple of hours. I realised what i'd done when I came back. Now got an hd5 which seems completely dead. Wont switch on at all. Took battery out - put back in -tried a few buttons - nothing!! Dead completely it seems.
My question - is this a "fried" battery ?? ( and thus can perhaps replace?) Or have I "fried" the internals of the hd5 itself?? Any advice appreciated.
