0 thefanboy
You can format the device, by selecting thru control panel in the menu. This will delete all your data, but will surely restore the device to normal condition.there is a small pinhole in the backside of device to reset, you can try that as well. 0 golden ears
First Make sure you do NOT have any Network server devices assigned to drive letters G: or F:Then with your device connected to the USB port, go to MY Computer: Right click on My Computer and select MANAGE. Select DISK MANAGEMENT.If you see your device listed as a removable device [mine shows up as Removable 1.90 GB FAT.]and it has NO drive letter assigned, then right click on it and select CHANGE DRIVE LETTERS and PATHS.In the Drive letter and paths window, assign your device a drive letter like G: by selecting ADD... Choose a drive letter adn click OK.It should now show up in My Computer. Edited November 5, 2007 by golden ears
0 Eskape
Thanks for your help. To: theFanboy, everything you recommended works. The player still has all of its functions, I've formatted and pressed the Resetbutton on the back many times. The unit is not recognized by any PC I connect it to.Thanks for your suggestion. To: golden ears,I followed your instructions, but device still does not show up.That's why I think we need some sort of Hard reset procedure. Thanks!
