marty aylands
Hi - I recently bought an NWS706 player, and have been puuting CD tracks on it via SonicStage.Because my own computer is only Windows 98, I had to put SonicStage on a friend's computer and do the uploading/transferring there - and so as not to use up too much of his disc space, I deleted most of the tracks after I was sure they were in the player. Now I want to delete some of the tracks from the player, but I'm having problems - the PDF manual says to go to 'settings' and turn the wheel until 'delete rec data' comes up - but it doesn't!The manual does say "only songs recorded by the player can be deleted". What does that mean?Any advice would be very welcome.

Only those song recorded using the player can be deleted using the 'delete rec data'. In other words, only songs recorded using the NW-S706 can be deleted on the player. If songs have been transfered using SonicStage then they can not be deleted. To remove those songs, you need to reconnect to a machine with SonicStage. marty aylands
Thanks for that replyI was on the computer today, and went to SonicStage, but I'm afraid I'm none the wiser.I know how to delete tracks from the 'library' but that only deletes them from the computer, not the player (I had the player connected while I was deleting tracks, but they're still on the player). The help files for SonicStage only seem to cover deleting from the computer, not the player.Any advice would be welcome. Thanks. Edited November 21, 2007 by marty aylands
