marty aylands
I have put quite a few albums on my player using SonicStage, then deleted most of the tracks in a lot of these albums. This means that I have a lot of albums that only have one or two tracks in them, and they're a pain to scroll through. i'd like to create an album and call it something like 'Various', then move all thse odd tracks into it and delete the albums. I can't see how to do it using SonicStage, though. What might complicate matters is the fact that I've deleted a lot of these albums fro My Library, because I use a shared computer and don't want to fill up its hard drive. So, can anyone tell me how to do this? Debbie
Have you tried changing the name of each album to "Various"?
Zizone_
Use play-list. First create play-list, by adding songs in any order as you wish, then name that folder (i.e. play-list). Then simply transfer the play-list to your Walkman. If the song in the play-list is already in the player, the song will not take additional space in the Walkman. There was a post regarding how to use play-list function in SonicStage previously. Should you need further instruction, search for the post.Hope this helps.Edit:I just found old post:If you wish to transfer playlists, you have to transfer songs from playlist from the SonicStage to players. Simply transferring songs that are in playlist but not tranferring from the playlist does not create playlist on the player. one of the member, theFanboy, wrote simple instructions for the playlist"in sonicstage,in the mylibrary box, on the right side you see a small box to select called create/edit playlist. Select that.list of current playlist section will open on the right side.now on left side (my library column), select all the songs you want and click the blue arrow, all selected song list will appear on right side, choose an appropriate name for the current list and select close edit.now on the left most column, select view as albums/playlist.my library will show all the playlist.select appropriate ones, transfer to your device (by theFanboy)."so basically,1) click "Create/edit playlist" on the right side.2) Choose songs for the playlist and transfer. Once you created playlist, close the playlist3) on the left most column, select view as "albums/playlist"4) from the "playlist," transfer to your devicelink Edited February 8, 2008 by Zizone
iroczvinnie
Marty, do you mean that you want those couple of songs from each album in a single album, like a compilation CD?If this is the case, use one of the existing albums that has songs that you want in your compilation. Rename this to "various"Go to the another album that you want to be part of the "various" album. Go to this album's properties, change the album' name to "various" Also ensure that the compilation checkbox is also ticked. This should merge the two albums together. Do this for the other albums you want to be part of the "various" album.Hope this helps.
