Please tell me theres a crack or combination to unlock extra sound on the player i guess it's pretty loud anyway (trust all settings are on full) but i want louder than 30. I know i might sound crazy to people that have the player but i've been going deffer since 1999 when i got my first CD player sony of course atrac 1 so i need volume to make my ears bleed

You can't get more volume than the maximum it's capable of producing - but if you're using the supplied headphones, they don't isolate very well and you'd probably be better off buying a decent set of isolating earphones. It's easier to get extra volume that way.

P.S. None of my business but wanting volume to make your ears 'bleed' (when your hearing has already been compromised), might not be such a good idea!

Your hearing will deteriorate a lot faster.

thankyou thought it was load as it gets, ah well i use skull candys there cheap but randomly good i've nearly used every other type of headphones sony and sony isn't a good combo which ones do you recomend

.........you sure? I find the MDR-EX90's work fine with all my Sony daps.

Sigh....don't take it too personal Paz, but I've seen too many ''how to remove the volumecap on the A8** series".There used to be a time that some Sony players were indeed hampered by a cap and removing this had clear audio-benifits, not only in max. vol. but also in bass energy.

But I wish people would update their grapevine more often; not so the A8** series, no cap and if you need more power either your phones or your ears are insensitive.

i was kind of shooting in the dark for more sound but, guess it will be the buds.

MDR-EX90 them headphones you get with the player? na much better combinations with that player dude skull candys are cheaper and better some how but there build quailty is questionable.

I find that Sennheiser, PX100 and Cx300's along with MDR-EX90's work well IMO. Just to add, the A81x and A82x are supplied with MDR-EX82's which are extremely good. MDR-EX90's are after market phones which sound even better. Skull candy I find are low budget and inferior to any of the phones I have mentioned.
