bakachu
What to do! Heres the story : about 2 years ago I got a MZR90 from curries with a 5 year mastercare guarantee plan, because I knew i'd trash it (and I did) So recently it was in repair for > 6 weeks and those lovvvveelly people at curries have just sent me £200 for a new minidisc ($290 for you Americans ) and £30 towards a new coverplan. Sweet! buuut I really want the NZ-10, but as we all know its not out yet however the N1 is.. normally I'd be quite happy to wait but I have to use these vouchers in 3 months, i've read on some sites that the NZ-10 is guestimated for a feb march release here next year, feb's ok but march is out of my 3 months range. So should I just get a N1 on Saturday? or hold off for the N10 on the off chance that it might come out Jan Feb next year? I really need some personal music back!!! Thanks for any suggestions. Leon
I think the decision completely depends on how long you're willing to put up with not having music We don't know exactly when Sony's going to bring a proper international-spec N10 out to the world for official release. It might come out before the three months are up, or it might not. If you can survive not having music, my opinion would be to wait and see what happens. Bazirker
If it was me, I'd wait until the 3 months are almost over, and if the N10 isn't out yet then get an N1 (or suck it up and buy an international model.) I'd rather have an N10 with a lot of japanese stuff than an N1, the N10 just has sooooo much more. It'd probably be worth the wait (or dealing with the funky japanese text.) bakachu
The biggest thing that attracts me to the N10 is the equalizer/DSP effects, and the new ATRAC R version. The 32x LP2 is a bonus, but isnt the 16X in the N1 a drastic improvement over real time record ing anyway? (Does it actually work out to be 16x in real life?) Are there any other significant thingies? Thinking last night - 3 months is quarter of a year! lonnnng time

Guest Anonymous
In The Netherlands the Sony MZ-N10 will be released in march, since MD's are usually released in the UK first you could be lucky. But 3 months without music, I wouldn't survive that
Bazirker
"new ATRAC R version??? did u mean ATRAC Type S??? " Yes, he does mean the new ATRAC Type R version...sorta. ATRAC Type-S is nothing more than ATRAC Type-R with an improved ATRAC3 DSP.
