  1. Qwakrz : um the NH1 doesn't have a built in battery....0.o it's a removeable Li-Ion bettery...unless they've changed it...
  2. yup i agree w/ kurisu....but that pic is prolly all part of sony's so called "creative photography"...a similar debate arose when they released pictures of the N1 unit a while ago...
  3. if you can afford it i suggest u take a listen to those BOSE QuietComfort 2 headphones...they are really nice...^^
  4. SXC : yep i hear that FFVII-2 : AC is coming out as an exclusive for the PSP...this is only a rumour though and it was spread quite a while back...not to sure if they've decided to change that...but in terms of the battery life Sony's quoted around the range that mutant1345 said above...
  5. i actually agree with you guys about the problem with the HDD...i've managed to get FFXI + the HDD and i really don't want to lose it..plus in terms of pricing it's the same as the normal PS2 (in Aus newayz) but i probably won't be getting it since the PSP and PS3 are coming soon...
  6. if u want a dedicated CD burner there are still some that are premade like the old iOmega Predators still lying around in some shops that will sell them for cheap as...well in Australia anyway...i picked up a 40x24x40x Imation external around the beginning of this year for about A$15 brand new from a shop that still had it...
  7. hope everything works out chris, we'll be keeping tabs on this forums so it won't get out of control...^^
  8. yeh i got that email as well...i don't think i'll go since they don't have any of the new Hi-MD mini HiFi's or decks in stock yet...=/ but atrain is right about the price. It's held at Sony Central in Chatswood and they usually have pretty decent sales of older stock from time to time but if it's a new product then yeh look elsewhere...
  9. costa_k : that actually happens with my N1 as well just recently...it seems that it doesn't want to transfer anymore regardless of which program i used (i've used both the old OpenMG/SonicStage as well as the newest SS2.2) and nothing seems to work...i think there's probably something wrong with the optic block of the unit (again..) since i've taken it back for repairs bout a yr ago and they've fixed it...
  10. jacko73 : the "group" button just basically creates a "group" or folder on your MD for you to organise your songs in...say that u have a few albums on your MD and you want to group them so that each of the tracks from one album are in one group and each of the tracks on the others are in different groups...it makes life easier when you're trying to search through your songs if you have tonnes of them on the MD...
  11. either that or copy DVD -> DVD from ur PC...it defeats most copy protection out there...
  12. heh...mm...the mini is nice coz it's small...that and it's got a nice aluminium shell as opposed to that white plastic on the normal iPods...
  13. sonshin : i doubt it unless it's imported from Japan directly...but then again i'm not entirely sure...
  14. soz if this is too late but u can just get any old USB B -> 4 pin cable from ur local pc shop and connect it up w/ the cradle...udun have to get one from sony...
  15. yeh well they're std on a VAIO...but in terms of installing them they're usually pretty straight forward and easy...i'v had no problems installing them on any of my machines running XP...
  16. interesting topic tho...having MD team up w/ iTunes...well so long as it's going to be less painful to transfer stuff over than SS then it's all good...
  17. hey nice...i go away for like 2 weeks and i didn't even recognised this site when i came back...nicely done kurisu...
  18. well given that it's sony anything can happen...
  19. those "certain moderators" don't include me do they???
  20. u just use an audio program to do this...i use Adobe Audition for it's relative simplicity...
  21. i think u mite'v fried sumfin...not too sure if u can get a replacement...best bet is to either ask sony or search on eBay...
  22. just out of interest does anyone know how fast is MO disks are theoretically capable of transfering data?
  23. only gripe i have with the iPod is battery life and HDD protection...i'v never been fond of anything with a HDD inside them coz i'm paranoid that if i drop them they'd fail...and as with all HDD's they all have a "used by" date on them...they all will fail in the end...which concerns me...at least the 4th Generation iPod looks to try to improve the battery life being rated at lasting up to 25hrs...
  24. yeh mine was made in japan but the optic block did fail...lucky it was still under warranty...
