ESPmiyabi
There's MZ-Nxx series recorders that are NetMD correct? Then there are the MZ-Rxxx and MZ-RxxxPC models. NetMDs can be hooked up to the PC via USB. and so can the MZ-RxxxPC models. I use to read about PC models like the MZ-R900PC that came with some PCLink device for music transferring from PC>>MD. My friend just bought a MZ-R910...is there ANY way possible for the 910 to transfer from PC>>MD like the 900PC? Can anyone help clear this problem up for me and my friend? Thanks. Guest Anonymous
Ummm I'm not quite sure what you're asking...l think you're asking if there is a way to use the PClink to record on an MZ-R910. The answer to that question is yes. Any minidisc recorder can record from a PClink.
ESPmiyabi
to be honest i don't know what i'm asking either. lemme get this straight. NetMD doesn't record in real time correct? that's the different between NetMD and standard recorders?
me
Yeah, NetMD records in LP2/4 or psuedo SP at about .9x-4x, 15x, and about 30x respectively, or for a new MZ-N10 it's meant to be about 30x and 60x for LP2 and LP4 respectively.. Leland
The PC Link is a USB device that converted the song on the PC to an optical digital output to be recorded on the MD unit. It therefore would only record in realtime. I don't know if it is still available from Sony, as the low cost NetMD recorders (N505, N707) render it less important for Sony to compete with MP3 players. The Xitel DG2 is the same thing and is available from Crutchfield for $60. Guest Anonymous
Hi, I use a soundblaster extigy usb soundcard with my pc as well as the pclink from my Sony DHC-MD595. This setup gives me a two-way digital transfer between my pc and md unit. By the way the DHC-MD595 rips Cds at 4x speed. The only untidy aspect of this setup are the cables!
