Hi,

I'm new to the whole MD world and just recently got a N505 as a present. I love it and want to try some recording with it. I plan on getting a batt. module SP-SPSB-2 and either the SP-TFB-2 In-Ear binaural microphones or the SP-BMC-3 miniature binaural microphones.

Will this work alright? I plan on recording mostly live shows (mostly loud) and maybe some accoustic guitar. Does anyone have any experience with these products or suggestions as to which method is better or if I should get a different set up?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

rw

I have never tried any of their products but ive heard many good things about them.

If you are planning on recording loud concerts try my company's website (www.stealthaudio.net) and take a look at the premium binaurals, Our premium binaurals are modified to be able to record higher SPL's (louder sounds) (heres a clip of a loud arena rock show recorded with them http://www.stealthaudio.net/pbarena.mp3 ) but they also sound great with acoustic shows (heres a clip of an acoustic show recorded with them http://www.stealthaudio.net/pbhall.mp3 )

If you have any questions drop me an email

Thanks

Scott

As a proud owner of the SP TFB2 in-ear binaurals I can say they are a very, very good product; I have done numerous recording tests - from outside arenas to recordings done in my own house - and the range of these babies is really impressive. I'm looking to get the battery module myself - all my tests were done without it - but I should say that SP mode with these is truly a force to be contended with
