Dizzyboy_
Actually, it's a two-parter: 1) Can this battery be charged on an battery charger or must it be done in the unit or cradle? 2) Can I replace it with any battery I choose? I've got a Powerex 2000mAh NiMH that would be amazingly long lasting in this unit - provided that I don't have to worry about damaging it somehow by using something other than what was specified for it! Guest Anonymous
I spend a lot of time away form a uk power soecket so have a stash of normal AA rechargables. I charge then in the 707 or in a normal re-charger, whichever is closest to hand. Never had any probems with charging or using. Daijoubu
The built-in charger is designed for ~750mAh Ni-Cd, you can charge Ni-Mh but not at it full capacity
Guest Anonymous
Ah - i didn't know that. I typicaly use 1700mAh AAs. I'll stop using the MD unit to recharge and use the stand alone charger instead. I normaly use it in preference anyway as it only takes 2 Hrs to do 4 1700 mAh batteries.
