Guest Anonymous
Are prices lower in general in Hong Kong than in Europe. I'm thinking of buying the Sony MZ-N1 or the N-10 (good idea?). I'm going there in three weeks and my mz-r90 has just given up on me so I've decided that it's time for an upgrade. Do I have to go to any special places in HK to get the best prices or are prices generally low? /oZZy
Leland
I don't think Hong Kong is such a bargain any more. I guess you can bargain down the price in Hong Kong sometimes, but in general, it is not magic anymore.
Guest Anonymous
My dad is in HK at the moment, and the MZ-N1 is $413AU = $200US. Is this a real bargain??

Leland
Sure, older units will be discounted. The latest stuff is not that cheap, unless you shop around a lot and complain about the price. I got my N10 in Tokyo just in a big downtown shop for about US$ 300. Not bad for a brand new top of the line unit. I don't think it would be much cheaper in HK.
Guest Anonymous
Tokyo is like the most expensive city you can find lol hong kong is much cheaper, you gotta be careful with what you buy tho not everything is what it looks

mylesdyson
I find that regardless of Japan, HK or even Korea. If you were to go into different moma-san and papa-san shops. Barter with the shop keeper in some cases you can come off with a couple of steals.
