Guest Anonymous
Hi, I'm wondering if an older MD deck, such as a MDS-JE510, would be able to playback a recording in MDLP2 mode done on my MZ-N1 ? Thanks, Tony
MDX-400
Nope. You'll just get a track of silence. To play MDLP you have to have an MDLP capable recorder. Just as a note for all--remember MDSP and MDLP are actually quite different formats they just happen to be recorded onto the same disc. MDSP = ATRAC coding and MDLP = ATRAC3 coding. ATRAC3 is also used on other devices such as the Memory Stick. Roland M.
Guest Anonymous
Roland, Thanks for the reply. I was interested in buying a used 510, but I was worried about its backward compatibility... Thanks again, Tony Ottawa
