I have been offered a Sony MZ-R90, but can it record live?

I have just been offered a MZ-R90 very cheap. I know it's quite an old model now but I have never had the need for a MD before as I already have an mp3 player.

All I need to know before I part with the money is if it will record the live gigs I go to as this would be it's main, if not only, use?

Fine unit, not bad for live recording, limited ability to change recording level on the fly, compared to newer Sony units, No MDLP. Depends on price. I had one. good unit.
