Daijoubu
You'll need this: http://ptprophecy.com/openmg_kanji.zip Windows98SE/Me: OpenMG_Kanji_win9x.reg / SonicStage_Kanji_win9x.reg Windows2000/XP: OpenMG_Kanji_winxp.reg / SonicStage_Kanji_winxp.reg And then use NJStar Universal Code Convector: Chinese [CTRL-C] -> Japanese Shift-JIS [CTRL-C] Paste [CTRL-V] it in OpenMG/SonicStage in the Multi-byte field
\-=Golden=-//
Daijoubu i've downloaded the reg files but could you explain the Chinese (CTRL-C) -> Japanese Shift-JIS (CTRL-C) thing a bit more in detail thanks

Daijoubu
CTRL-C = Copy / CTRL-V = Paste http://www.njstar.com/communicator/download.php NJStar Universal Code Convector: 1. 2. Guest Anonymous
I have tried everything you have said to do. IN the universal clipboard everything still stays the same. All weird like ‚¢ When I click convert clipboard it still wont change. It just stays like "‚¢" I have it set to Japanese Auto Detect > Japanese Shift-Jis When I try to cit and paste into sonic stage it either comes out blocky and weird, or it stays as "????????" Guest Anonymous
Im trying to name songs in Japanese. My Sonic Stage wont support Kanji. I guess i just dont get how to do it. Ive looked at the post you had with the images, and what I thought I was supposed to do isnt working. Kanji still comes up as ????? or ‚j‚b?@‚?‚Ž‚„?@‚s‚ˆ‚…?@‚r‚•‚Ž‚“‚ˆ‚‰‚Ž‚…?@‚a‚?‚Ž‚„?@?|?@‚v‚?‚Œ‚‹‚‰‚Ž‚‡?@‚n‚Ž?@‚r‚•‚Ž‚“‚‰‚Ž‚… on both single and multi-byte fields. Guest Anonymous
hi daijoubu i've followed your instructions, but when i got to look at the songs on the actual recorder, i see the jap words only, is it possible to see chinese characters on the mzn10?? using njstar convertor, i convert from chinese to japanese and then paste that in the multibyte field, as instructed. in the single byte field i leave the eng translation. but then when i go look at the song title on the md, i see the eng name. if i paste the chinese name into the single byte and view that, i see jap!! i don't know what i'm doing wrong...pls help!! thanx!! Daijoubu
The main unit only display single-byte title, you need a kanji remote to display it (Which is the RM-MC35ELK for the N10)
Guest Anonymous
I have a N505. it also can show Japanese. do you know if it can show chinese too?
Daijoubu
The 505 can write to the multi-byte field But once again, the main lcd can only display romanji and katakana You'll need a RM-MC12ELK hooked up on a 505 to display kanji... wai_hung_fung
If you want to input Chinese character into your NetMD. The first thing you need to ask youself is, what Windows operating system are you using? Because it will make a BIG difference if you need to install a third party software. I am not sure if NJStar Communicator will help. Because I don't have it. All you need is Windows 2000 or Windows XP and Japanese version of SonicStage 1.5. And you are all set! If anybody still needs any help. Let me know!

wai_hung_fung
-=Golden=-//, your MZ-N10 should come with Japanese version of SonicStage 1.5. Then there is no need to download it. This is for people who don't have it.

Guest Anonymous
Is there a way to get chinese/kanji onto the N10 using simple burner? I am using Windows XP and turning all the language options to chinese and the titles even display right under simple burner and m3u2sb, but once I load it, the names show up as blank on the main LCD and the remote. Thanks for your help.
Daijoubu
I don't think SimpleBurner have abilities to write/read the multi-byte layer of a MD
Guest Anonymous
so basically, it's put up with SonicStage and OpenMG (with the 3 checkouts) + chinese/kanji support or Simple Burner (with no checkout) + no chinese/kanji support?
Guest Anonymous
OK, I tried realone and it shows under realone, but instead of blanks (like simple burner), the chinese is mixed up as english and kana. Please someone clarift if kanji can be displayed or if only kana can be displayed?
Daijoubu
RealOne doesn't support multi-byte neither
Guest Anonymous
Is there a way to upload using simple burner then editing the titles using sonic stage or openMG?
ATH
Actually i have a better way to input chinese in SonicStage using njstar First switch into Japanese Shift-JIS in the menu so that u can see what u type in sonicstage after that, open chinese input from njstar menu and you can actually type directly into the multibyte text box and it should show it correctly 8) you can even input in korean if you like. just remember to select the output into Japanese Shift-JIS and another thing is that you have to open properties of every file to input. this won't work in simple burner or realone player For me i'll record using simple burner and rename the tracks in SonicStage to aviod the 'check in/out' thing 8)
tmeg
I also changed my app Win NMD for supporting Chinese titling. (you can see screenshot at http://christian.klukas.bei.t-online.de/fi...d/winNetMD.htm) But the latest versions are not available for free any more. With my app you can directly type in Chinese/Japanese (add the keyboard layouts to Windows before) or get the titles for albums from freedb. I was very glad when I got this to work, because I don't know Chinese and Japanese and so it was kinda impressive when I got automatically the titles for some Chinese CD albums I have
