Guest Anonymous
the new mz-n10 has an encased rechargeable battery. what happens when the battery recharge life begins to fade and it has to be replaced? have sony /duracell come up with an everlasting/non degradable rechargeable battery? Bazirker
No, they haven't...but it is possible to buy sony replacements. the internal battery is lithium-ion, so it'll have a pretty good lifespan.
Leland
I have read that if you keep the Lithium ion batteries topped up rather than deep cycling them they last longer. Li Ion used to be described as capable of about 300 deep cycles, but top ups didn't count. Do the math based on your usage and you could have 5 years if you deep cycle weekly. kidnamedjason
5 years is a long time. the manual even tells you how to remove the internal battery. if sony doesn't make replacements, a third party will, so i dont think anyone has to worry about that.
