JacoScar
I have a Game Theater XP sound card (latest drivers installed) and a Sony MZ-R900. Whenever I try to transfer some mp3s to my minidisc by the digital cable, I always enable the synchro-rec; when the music starts, the md starts recording and when there is no sound from the pc for 3 seconds, the recorder goes into the standby mode automatically. But when a new song begins, it starts recording again, but it records a 1 second long track and then it records the remaining part of the song on a further track. I have this problem also recording from an other computer, but I have no problem when I use an analog output or the optical output of my stereo. Isn't strange? What can I do? :?:

Sugo
I would try using a different program to play the music. If that still doesn't work, then it's probably your sound card having jittered signals at the beginning of the song. Just as I thought, not all soundcards with optical out have the same quality ...
