zmodem
I'm thinking about buying an MD, I've never had one before but I've heard to much about it that I've become curiuos. I love listening to music, but I can't say that I spend my life walking around with headphones in my ear, I mostly listen at home... but I figure that the reason that I'm not listening to music very much outside the house is my current cassette walkman, which is in my opinion a little bit to large to carry around in my pocket. So, I'd like to hear your experiences, did an MD make you start listening to your music on the go? The second question is what minidisc recorder to buy. This is what I want: * Great sound quality * Slim unit so I can carry it easily in my pocket * Remote control with LCD * Good battery life (it would be nice if the batteries were rechargeable) * To be able to connect it to my PC with an USB-cable Now, I've been looking at the Sony MZ-N710, the price is OK for me, it seems to have the features I want and it looks good. I've read that some people aren't happy about the output, (was it 2x 1.2mW), is this a problem? I usually don't listen to music very loud, especially not when I use earphones. In any case, I'd like to hear which recorders you guys recommend, and also if anyone has any experience with the MZ-N710?
Daijoubu
That's pretty low if you ask me...you may get a N510+LCD Remote+NiMh/NiCd or the NF810 if you don't mind losing backlite and the additional radio or a N910/10 if you have the money
Guest Anonymous
Yeah well, compared to other units, 1.2 mW seems low... but I'm not very good at this and 1.2 mW doesn't really tell me anything, I've been trying to find out what the output is from my old freestyle but I had no luck there. It's also interesting to read about what other people think in this forum... In this thread, http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t...ighlight=mzn710 the guy says that you've got to have a severy hearing problem to find the volume of this unit insufficient... but in this thread http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t...ighlight=mzn710 they say it's very quiet. I don't know what to think of this really... the n710 seems perfect for me as it's got all the stuff I want, the only question is if the 1.2mW-thingy would be a problem for me?
