Guest Anonymous
Hello. I have an MD player in my car (I don't think it is LP compatible) but I was wondering can I do somthing when I record using the netMD to allow the disks to play in the car? Like recording in 'normal' mode or somthing? Cheers, Scott.
maia
U main problem is not Net MD. Could U give us the reference of the car's MD? We'll / I'll (if it's Sony, faster  ) tell u whether the unit supports LP mode or not. If it doesn't, all u have to do is record MD's in normal mode or Mono (In normal nothing appears on the display, when in mono, "mono" appears on the LCD. Just be sure not to see LP2/4 on the display, ok?

maia
Is it this one?
maia
Well, if it is, I am sorry to inform u but that is not an MDLP model, though u can record up to 160mins in mono mode or 80 min. in stereo mode (considering an 80min. MD).
Guest Anonymous
Hi again. Yes that is it. I didn't think it would be, but it is still possible to use the "drag'n'drop" netMD proceedure to record MD's that are still playable in that player? (ie. I will be able to do away with the old, tiresome real time recording) Regards, Scott
maia
U can drag and drop files from the computer and record them into a MD, but to listen them on the car, u'll need to record the music files using Net MD in Stereo or Mono ...
Guest Anonymous
But I will not have to go back to real time recording?
maia
Let's see if we're talking about the same thing. Sorry for not being clear, I just wanna help. Ur car MD radio doesn't record and doesn't have MDLP. So, if u buy the MZ-N910 u'll get a Net MD with MDLP. U want to connect it to the computer and transfer ur files to the MD fast, and then listen to it on ur car, right?
Guest Anonymous
Yes, I wanna transfer to MD from Computer NOT IN REAL TIME and then listen to it in my car. I will be getting the n10 though.
maia
Yes, u can still record using Net MD on ur MZ-N10. Beware that when doing this, if u want to listen the MD's on ur car, u'll have to record in Mono or Stereo, not LP4 or 2... Just like I stated before. Even when u record through Net MD u have the option to choose from Mono/stereo/LP2/LP4, right :?:

Guest Anonymous
Yeah I think you are right. Cheers mate. I will get one I am getting it from Japan though ( I am in Australia) will this be a prob? Thanks heaps dude.
maia
I can't really help in this one, tho check the page: http://www.minidisco.com/japanese-product-info.html Note that that one is refering to USA, u have to check the current (110V/220V) and the type of socket. Just get informed before buying. BTW, where are u buying ur unit from? Online store? Could U post a link pls  ?
fbjon
Yeah I think you are right. Cheers mate. I will get one I am getting it from Japan though ( I am in Australia) will this be a prob? Nope, I just got mine from japan-direct.com, and I live in Finland. If they can throw a NetMD halfway around the globe with a 1 year warranty, then they surely can throw it to Australia too As maya said, you need to check the AC current (japan-direct has power converters too). Also, you can record in any mode via NetMD, but the music will always be converted to MDLP, and only then to SP. So you can't get Golden Ear SP-quality
