Guest Anonymous
I own an MZN-10. I am living in the UK, but got my unit from Japan. Installed the Open MG English version, everything works fine. But I haven't been using the unit for quite some times now. I left it on the craddle while it was connected to the power source for a month or two. A few days ago, I wanted to use it. It showed battery low. So I put it back to the craddle to charge it. After charging it, it again said low battery... it seems that the battery is alomost completely dried out. I repeatedly charging it for a few times, the result was the same. I wonder why. I hope I didn't damage the internal battery by leaving it on the craddle with power plugged to the craddle for a long period of time. If the battery is damaged, how can i get a replacement? yean. e-mail: yeanus@onetel.net.uk
Guest Anonymous
I have a mz-n10 japanase unit, and i have the same problem. If you don't use the original ac adaptor and you d0n't use any sony daptor, is probably your battery are broked. It is beacuse the some ac adaptors have low quality and the outpout voltage arent exactly 6 Volts. I recomane you no use non sony ac adaptors, and if you have the japan ac adaptor, conect it any transformator with 100 V. in output voltage. This is a economical and easy solution. You can't buy the original ac adaptor in a sony store, but the price are elevated (60 euros aprox). Well, it may don't are the problem, but I sure. Sorry for mistakes, I'm catalain

mAjEsTiC
yeh seems to me like either ur batts stuffed and u need a replacement (this is hard to find since u need to go back to a sony repair shop)...and by leaving the power plugged in while the battery is fully charge does limit its life...(i've seen many laptop batteries go flat this way...) best bet is for you to head down to the nearest sony retailer and ask if they have a repair service center which will be able to change the battery for you...
