Guest Anonymous
I am considering buying a minidisc player after my previous sony minidisc player refusing to work and generally being troublesome. After much market research i have narrowed into down to three models. The units chosen are sony, purely for the reason that i cannot get any other makes who offer similar features. The three are: MZ-N1 £165 POUNDS STERLING MZ-N707 £130 POUNDS STERLING MZ-N505 £95 POUNDS STERLING I have a general idea of each of the players features after reading respective articles on minidisc.org. Still i am no closer to choosing one to purchase. i just wanted to see what users of this forum think is best. Net MD and Longplay were the only features i was after and are in all of the players. Size are weight are not too much of a problem. General usage will involve pc recording( iam aware of sftwre probs) and hi fi recording. All opinions welcome. Thankyou in advance Mr Baxta

BJ
I can't vouch for the n1, but I've owned both the N505 & N707, and I much prefer the N707, primarily because of the functions unlocked with the hack (posted elsewhere on the forum). It sounds like the N505 will work just fine for your stated purpose--the only big extra you'll get with the N707 is the larger screen, which I really like. If you don't mind the screen size, though, buy the 505 and use the extra money on a bunch of blank MDs.
