dpool2002
I am a journalist in radio and I need a minidisc recorder/player in which i can input a mic cable and a xlr cable to a line in (basically i just need mic in and line in on the player). Aside from that I would also like to use it for music so would like it to download at faster speed. In other words for the music from my computer to go to the minidisc player in speed faster than real time yet retain great quality. I would like the player/recorder to be under 150 also with a headphone jack. Does anyone know of the best md player that i could get for all that? Thanks a bunch. Guest Anonymous
Get a Sony Recorder, a 707 or 710 costs about $150, maybe a tiny bit more, but that's as cheap as it gets for mic recording. MD's don't have XLR inputs, but you can buy a coverter at a music store like Guitar Center (maybe a Radio Shack?) for a couple dollars. dpool2002
Thanks a lot. Any other brand i should consider or is this the best? Also, is there a place in the US that sells the 710. I can only find places in Europe mainly the UK. Also I was reading on the N1, does that have line in? i know it has mic in but does it have line in? thanks! maia
Yes, the N1 has both line in and mic in (as well as mini-toslink optical)
