MD for my motorcycle

Hi all

I'm sure this question has been asked, so i'm sorry to bug you again. But here I go. I like the idea of a MD recorder/ Player for my motorcycle. I have a nice pair of Blaupunk amplified spakers and the mini disc seems to be a perfect storage media. looking in local stores all I see is Sony units. The ones with remotes would work out great so I coculd run it up the handle bars. The problem is after reading the reviews, every one seems to agree that the sony software stinks. Are there other brands of personal md players with wired remotes that would be preferable over the sony? Or is the sony the way to go and just live with the software issues?

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

heyy there,

yeh i can say that the software that come with the current sony netmd's are flawed in many ways...but it's better than nothing i spose...u could also take a look at sharp units if u can find them...i don't exactly know exactly which country you're in, soo i don't really know what brands are available there...living with the software is ok i spose...i've had 2 generations of sony netmd units (N1 and N10) and i've come 2 live with the limitations of the software...it's not exactly "perfect" for d/l from the PC -> MD but it sure beats recording music in realtime...i can't say that any other brand is more preferable over another since i don't really have a brand preference...all i can say is that it depends on your tastes...sony and sharp units are generally pretty good overall tho sony seem to be the more popular because they push the media on the general public more than sharp does...panasonic also does a good job...soo the choice is up 2 u essentially... tongue.gif

take a look at the units first and you can make your decision up then....
