^Nytro^
I would like some help about how to record from a single Net-MD player to another minidisc player (without usage of computer). what kind of cable should I use (naturely I prefer digital-optical, but the one that's included in the package doesn't seem to match)? thanx.
mAjEsTiC
MD players and recorders don't have an OPTIC output (the only recorder that i know of that has an OPTIC out is the very first model : MZ-R1)...recorders only have and OPTIC input and so you can't really do a digital copy since neither the player or recorder has and OPTIC output...soo i spose that you're stuck with the normal 3.5mm stereo cable and analogue recordings...i'm gathering that you have sony units and as such the usual cable that they supply you with in the box is a square to mini toslink cable...they'r primarily used for copying from a desk/entertainment unit/audigy drive (fits the square part of the cable) to the md recorder (mini jack)....a deck is another alternative for digital recordings tho... ^Nytro^
good point by the way, I just didn't think about it enough probably.. I understand that my only option is analog, and also that i'm not equipped with the needed cable, but as I rememeber the analog cable for things like that includes two plugs in the other side for stereo recording in various audio sources. I'm just not sure that there is a normal cable with one plug in each side that can fit to the line out of the other MD and the line in of my MZ-N1 and vice versa, which would keep the recording non-mono? thanx again. mAjEsTiC
yup there r 3.5mm -> 3.5mm stereo cables that you can buy from many electronic shops and they keep the recording in stereo...if your player should have a LINE OUT function i would suggest that u use it...it would get the best results (LINE OUT -> LINE IN) rather than going from HEADFONE -> MIC IN/LINE IN...
