Guest Anonymous
I'd like a little help with something. I believe I've heard of a Sony NetMD recorder model 510, also a 510CK and a 510CKL. Are there any significant differences between these recorders or are they all identical? I'm asking because I think I will be buying a 510, but I'm not yet clear on whether it is capable of recording via optical, and what price in $CDN I should be paying. mAjEsTiC
i think they'r the same models just the letters after the 510 indicate the colour of the unit?? (not too sure since sony tend to do this on their previous models so i think they would have continued the trend) and yes this unit can record via optical ~ it just does not have a mic input, the Line in and optic in are there though... KJ_Palmer
The CK stands for Car Kit, which is supplied with the North American package (Europe doesn't get this for some reason). Not sure what the L in CKL stands for though.

neo_md
the L in MZ-510CKL stands for the blue colour model and the S in the MZ-510CKS stands for silver
Blackie_Chan
If you are in Toronto. Futureshop has the 510 on sale for $200. Several stores on yonge street also has it for the same price.
