Hello friends,

I would like to buy an Sony MZ-NE 410 Minidisc but I do not know if I can upload in the the Sony all type of MP3,also the MP3 files without Copyright or if the SDCI Sony protection will not me let upload this kind of files.I would like to know if I can do check-out to the Minidisc MZ-NE 410 with MP3 files downloaded from Internet with some peer to peer software like Kazaa or WinMX.

Please help me,thanks a lot,bye bye,Fred.

no you can't upload through the USB interface using NetMD...u can only upload the music files from your MD unit to your computer through normal analogue 3.5mm stereo cables...you can only download music through NetMD from the PC -> MD and not the other way around...

yep this is fine...there's no problems with files that you've downloaded from these p2p programs...they will be able to be checked out through sonicstage without any problems most of the time...

well the only way to actually know exactly is either to check the ID3 tag (which sometimes isn't all that reliable) or even better is to try and transfer it with SonicStage...if it doesn't transfer then you may have a protected track...fortunately there is a way around this...i usually play the song with say winamp and then record the song playing as a wav file...this gets rid of most copyright issues with it not being able to transfer...but usually sonicstage isn't overly fussy about copyright mp3's...i have a few that transfer across without any problems...alternatively if they're really fussy then you can also try the Nero/SimpleBurner method posted here...

And what about the files that I can extract from CD with MP3 software?!?!?

these are usually fine...they can be transfered over without any problems most of the time... tongue.gif
