Guest Anonymous
Hi all, I have an old MZ-2P sitting around and would like to use it now to make loss-less optical transfers to my PC from live MD recordings on made on the MZ-R50. First question: Am I losing anything in quality with playback and taking the optical output from the MZ-2P? (purely because it's an old ATRAC decoder hardware) Second: Is the MZ-2P TOSlink output compatible with the modern optical protocol that my PC will accept on it's sound card? Many thanks, Nick

(purely because it's an old ATRAC decoder hardware)no i wouldn't think so...there isn't much of a change in normal ATRAC decoding for playback between old and new... Second: Is the MZ-2P TOSlink output compatible with the modern optical protocol that my PC will accept on it's sound card?yep should work without any problems...whether old or new they haven't changed how the data is transfered through optic out...
