find the optimised files folder on your computer (if you don't know where to find it follow these steps below)

u can simply check the directory that it stores it in by selecting the Tools Menu (in OpenMG) then to the CD Recording/Playing 1 tab...from there you will see a box 1/2 way down under the option Settings for CD Recording...that's basically the location of where the program stores the optimised files...copy and paste the directory to windows explorer and then it should open up that folder...within it should be another folder called Optimized Files...open that up and you will find all the ATRAC files located there...delete them as u wish...

this would get rid of all the check-in/check-out info and reset the count back to 3 plus also frees up your harddrive space...but you have to re-encode the mp3 files again...

if u mean that the symbol next to the song still remains as 2 then it wouldn't matter since for some reason that doesn't get updated when you delete the songs from the optimised files directory...that "count" should be disregarded since you do have 3 check-outs still remaining...

Nope, No luck. Deleted the files, then deleted the songs from Sonic Stage, then the Playlist... reimported the lot.

But no luck, after 1 check out (all that was left on one song) it wouldn't let me check it out again. Makes me think it stores the info away from the optomized song, like in some kind of DB or the registry or something.

there is a database file that is created that stores your check in/out info inside the sonic stage installation folder, or where you specified your atrac files to be saved, if you delete that file, all that bullshit check in/out info will be deleted and sonic stage will assume you have not checked those in or out and are starting fresh. You will get a pop up error next time you launch sonic stage, just click ok. I did this at a friends house so excuse me if i do not give you the exact file name, i think it was with a .dbm extension.

I've posted exactly the same thing as the gentleman in the post above this one.

Deleting the files in the recording window (by right clicking on them in Sonic Stage / Open MG and selecting to remove them from your computer (not just from the playlist!) will solve the problem.

You can only delete the playlists AFTER deleting the files.
