Hi all.

My Md player has been working fine until a WindowsXP reinstall, did not format the drive and as a result had to hunt through the registry and stuff and get all the database deleted.

Now...I connect my MD player to transfer some tracks...it gets 90% through a track and stops, Sonicstage returns error "Cannot exchange encryption key" and OMJukebox just stops recording with no error.

Halfway through the record windows makes the sound that occurs when a USB device is connected / disconnected.

My friend also has the same MD recorder and it transfers fine to his recorder.

Any ideas what the fucking hell is going on?

Is my player broken?

Thanks.

this would be a software problem and not a hardware problem...try to re-install SonicStage or OpenMG or woteva and try to transfer again...if that doesn't work d/l a free program such as Real One Player wit the NetMD plug-in and see if it will be able to transfer music across...if none of these will work then it would probably be your NetMD driver that is giving you these problems and try to re-install this...if none of these work and you suspect that it is indeed your recorder try to record normally through Optic In/Line In and see if the unit records...if not then you have a hardware problem and should go to a repair store and get the to take a look at it...otherwise try using different software first or re-installing...
