Guest Anonymous
I know it's a bit old, but I can't afford to buy a new one. If I can fix it for nothing, it'd be worth it. ok well, my sister borrowed for a while, and when she gave it back, some of the screws had fallen out, and it refused to play. Description of the problem: - The eject "button" on the side doesn't work as smoothly as it used to. - Play or Record buttons won't work. I was thinking that it won't Play or Record because the eject function is not working properly. If you'd like me to post photos, I can do that. future love
I know that it's risked but you can dismantle it. You'll see the problem. I imagine that you haven' tgarranty now, so it's te better solution, but be careful: it boring to re-ensamble it. I have aready tested. Is the 'eject button' is automatic ? If yes, it can be the resort which is the problem... Good luck!
mAjEsTiC
i'm taking it that this is the model with the side slot mechanism...if so then i suggest that you open the top panel up (the one with the LCD) and take a look at how the eject slide works...if i have time i will take pictures and post them up here showing you how to get the eject slider working again...and future love one question i have is what exactly did you mean when you asked if the eject button was automatic??? did u mean the auto eject mechanism that sony uses?? or was it something totally differet??? Guest Anonymous
yeh it's the slot-in mechanism - NOT "clamshell" design like many others... mAjEsTiC - please do post those photos, that'd be excellent.
Guest Anonymous
ok... I had lost the remote, and just found it. I plug it in, PLAY works from the remote! any ideas on what's going on here?
mAjEsTiC
seems to me that the connections on the unit itself are screwed...this is the same as the 722 unit that i have in my possession now...works from the remote but not from the main unit... future love
>mAjEsTiC: when i said: "is the eject btoon is automatic" i was asking if you have to open the minidisc with your hand or not, that's all.
chet
mAjEsTiC: have u been able to fix ur 722? anyone else know how I can get it to record again? I don't care if I can't "play" from the unit (I can from the remote), but I need to be able to record! Hopefully, I will be upgrading in a few months.
