Guest Anonymous
Well, I got a MD player a while ago, and I love the music and stuff it does -- but I'm starting to get into recording now. How do I do that, like what mic do I need? It has an "optical" line in, so I don't think I can use my normal PC mic. I tried it, but it didn't seem to work. Any tips? Guest Anonymous
Powered mic? That's what I thought, or, what a friend told me... is that all I need to ask for? Does it have to be digital or anything? Any specific products/ brands? THANKS!
mAjEsTiC
well just ask if the mic that you're buying is powered (i.e. is battery powered or otherwise) and it usually isn't digital...easiest way 2 get mics is to pop down to your nearest sony retailer and ask around for their mics...they usually work releatively well with most ppl... Guest Anonymous
So, it doesn't matter what kind of mic it is, so long as it's self-powered, that's all I need to ask for?
mAjEsTiC
well yeh more or less...so long as it is powered as well as it's convenient to plug into the MD (i.e. the plugs fit) and you should be right...
