Guest Anonymous
Sorry for the noob question  , but I just bought a car that has an old MD player in it (no MDLP), so I wanted to buy a MD recorder. I noticed that some players (specifically the Sony MZ-N505) advertise ATRAC3, MP3, WAVE etc. but make no mention of the older format. Is it just common knowledge that all MD players/recorders still support ATRAC1?
Christopher
Yes, your unit will support MD's you record as long as they're in SP format, as it doesn't have MDLP and cannot read LP2 and LP4. The music that you will hypothetically burn with a newer ATRAC-coding unit in SP mode will be readable in the deck.
