Guest Anonymous
well, i'm not sure where to begin. first of all, my mini-disks one by one deleted their content. that was weird enough but... when i went to make more, it would record and all but when i tried to playback, i'd appear totaly blank. so, i decided to use simple burner (CD to MD). no dice once again. any ideas?! thanks very much
Guest Anonymous
If the recording was made on the portable, I'd say the portable is developing problems with the recording laser. It is a common problem with portable recorders in that the recording head becomes misaligned after a heavy drop or the recording laser is simply weakening due to old age. It seems like everyhing records fine, but when you go to playback, all sorts of wierd shit happens, and it will get progressively worse. Symptoms include disk getting "stuck" at certain points, in the worst case, you'll end up with a blank disk or disc err after completing a recording. I've had similar problems, check out this thread for further info. http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=1623 Nick S.
Dreamcatcher
Maybe you place the unit too close to an magnettic field! There are the simillar to floppy disks.
mAjEsTiC
they're different to floppy disks coz floppies are magnetic media...MD's are Magneto-Opitc media which needs both heat and a magnetic field for it to change the data...unless enough heat is applied you can't change the magnetic data on those disks...
