Guest Anonymous Posted October 30, 2003 Report Share Posted October 30, 2003 ive recently come into posession of an md recorder for a great price, which i want to use for field recording, incidental sounds and stuff. its an older model panasonic sj mr200. trouble is theres no AC adapter, and it doesnt have the little screw on thing to attach an AA battery. none of the local electronics stores have multi votage adapters suitable, cos the required input is only 1.8v, and the adapters only go down to 3v. Will recharging with a 3v damage the unit/battery? is there anywhere online where i can purchase a suitable ac adapter? also how would i find out what currrent is nominal for recharging? im in NZ thanks for your help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bazirker Posted November 1, 2003 Report Share Posted November 1, 2003 I know that Radio Shack sells adaptors that go down to 1.5 V, but I don't know if they sell one with the right plug for your MD model. mAjEsTiC Posted November 1, 2003 Report Share Posted November 1, 2003 Sony and panasonic plugs for the MD's r quite similar...so so long as they output the correct voltage i think ur safe to use them...since for a time i used a Panasonic adaptor to charge up a Sony MD unit without any problems...
